Master Structure
The Master program offers two possible itineraries:
1. Professional itinerary. This one is aimed to those students desiring to improve their professional skills in one of the following intensifications:
- Systems.
- Services.
2. Research itinerary. This itinerary is aimed to develop the students' research skills preparing them to continue their studies in a doctoral program.
Both itineraries are developed in two semesters with 60 ECTS of workload.
Professional itinerary
This itinerary is decomposed into two possible intensifications:
• Systems: related to the design and development of technologies and communication systems for the information society.
• Services: provides the student appropriate capabilities to the development and deployment of applications and services in the framework of the information society.
In order to reach the academic objectives, the program is structured in the following subjects:
- Communications.
- Electronics.
- Audiovisual.
- Telematics.
- Scientific methodology.
- ICT and the information society.
- Master Thesis.
Each subject is composed of one or more courses. For this itinerary some of the subjects/courses are obligatory and others are optional (selected by the student). The next table summarizes the ECTS distribution.

Planning and management of students mobility and hosting
The School of Telecommunicacions Systems ans Engineering, through the Directorate of External Relations and Institutional manages agreements with various foreign institutions to promote student exchanges (own student mobility and foreign students). These exchanges occur not only universities with which we have formal agreements by Erasmus, but also with other institutions, promoting student mobility centers relevance to the theme and objectives of the proposed Master Program.
Students mobility (exchange in any of the senses) can be to complete teacher training centers of origin or to finish their studies by completing the Master's Thesis.
The Research and Postgraduate Committee, representing the School Board, chaired by the Assistant Director of Research and PhD, as well as the Academic Committee of the Centre shall ensure the adequacy of the mobility action for the student's curriculum. Similarly, provide students host adaptation appropriate curriculum to complete their studies within the Master Program.
During the past academic years, the School has significantly expanded the number of foreign centers with which it has signed student exchange agreements, PDI and PAS. In this link you can find the list of centers and universities with which the School has bilateral mobility agreements and the terms of the agreement. Here is another link where you can find the different mobility programs in which the school is involved, with additional information about the relevant calls.
Documents relating to mobility agreements are available from the Secretariat of students of the School and also through the Center's website at this link.
