Eduardo Juárez Martínez Ph.D. ès Sciences Techniques from EPFL (Switzerland) Associate Professor

Born in Madrid in 1970. He obtained his degree as a Telecommunication Engineer in 1993 from the "Universidad Politécnica de Madrid" (UPM) and that of Ph.D. ès Sciences Techniques from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Suitzerland, in 2003.

From 1994 to 1997, he worked as Researcher at the Digital Architecture Group (GAD) of the "Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación" (Telecommunication Engineers School), ETSIT, of the UPM. Also during this period, he worked as Visiting Researcher at the "Laboratoire de Circuites Intégrés des Télécommunications de l’École Nationale Supérieure de Télécomunications de Bretagne" (ENST-Bretagne), Brest, France and at the Video Processing and Telecommunications Laboratory, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA.

From 1998 to 2000, he worked as Assistant at the Integrated Systems Laboratory (ISL) of the EPFL. From 2000 to 2003, he worked at the Design Center of Transwitch Corp. in Switzerland, while continuing his research towards the PhD at the EPFL.

He joined the Electronic and Microelectronic Design Group (GDEM) in 2004 as a "Juan de la Cierva" Programme Researcher. From 2007 to 2011 he was an Associate Professor in the Physical Electronics Department Section of the "Escuela Universitaria de Ingeniería Técnica de Telecomunicación" (Technical Engineering School of Telecommunication), at present ETSIST, of the UPM. In 2011 he moved to the "Departamento de Sistemas Electrónicos y de Control" (Electronic and Control Systems Department), at present DTE.
