Matías Javier Garrido González Ph.D. in Telecommunication Engineering from ETSIT-UPM Associate Professor

Born in Valencia in 1965. He obtained his degree as a Technical Telecommunication Engineer in 1986, that of Telecommunication Engineer in 1996 and his Ph.D. as a Doctor of Telecommunication Engineering in 2004. All of his qualifications were obtained from the "Universidad Politécnica de Madrid" (UPM).

Currently, and since 1986, he has been developing his work in the "Departamento de Sistemas Electrónicos y de Control" (Electronic and Control Systems Department), at present DTE, at the "Escuela Universitaria de Ingeniería Técnica de Telecomunicación" (Technical Engineering School of Telecommunication), at present ETSIST, of the "Universidad Politécnica de Madrid". He began in the aforementioned department as an Assistant Professor, until 1987, when he became a Lecturer, until 2008. He is an Associate Professor since then. Likewise he has been a Secretary of the SEC department between 1992 and 1996.

He began the Electronic and Microelectronic Design Group (GDEM) in 1996.
