Summary

Within the framework of video coding applications applied to computer communications and television broadcasting, the aim of this project is two-folded. On one hand, the goal is to tranfer the group know-how on this subject. Furthermore, the implementation as IPs (Intellectual Property) of the subsystems of a video codec system is intended. On the other hand, the goal is to integrate into a single chip an MPEG-2 video coder. A prototype of the whole system will be buit to show its functionality.
