Summary

In this project a prototype model of an ASIC for conditional access in digital televisión was designed. This model includes and ARM processor, filters for the MPEG-2 bitstream and PCMCIA, Common-Interface and smart card interfaces. The model produced for the project has ended up as a high-level platform (including two high density FPGAs) for the development of embedded systems using the ARM processor and the funding company is commercializing it as the HSDT100.
