Summary

This project appears as a continuation of the ARTEMI+ project, where complex-system design methodologies were proposed, having multimedia terminals for broadcasting nets as reference applications. The fundamental aim of this new project, PccMuTe, is the research on power/energy consumption optimization for multimedia portable and handheld devices. In PccMuTe, the reference application will be a multimedia terminal composed of a DVB-H receiver, an AAC decoder, a H.264/SVC decoder and a display, including an open-code operating system. In order to validate de project results, an instrumented platform will be developed.
