VMAC: Versatile Multimedia Applications Chip Funding Semiconductores Investigación y Diseño, S.A. (SIDSA) Duration April 1999 to February 2000 Summary In this project a versatile ASIC prototype card has been designed for multimedia applications. This card is a super-set of the HSDT100 type that also includes an SDRAM controller, a cache memory controller, and PCMCIA and USB interfaces. The resulting card is also a high performance platform (it includes a high density FPGA) for developing ARM-based embedded systems and is being commercialized as HSDT200 by SIDSA. |
